What to Expect in this Process

To ensure a thorough and proper design experience, please plan for the process to take 6-8 weeks from start to finish, at minimum. Landscape Design is a unique service where a single designer can be handling 20+ designs at a time. To ensure a thorough and proper design experience, please plan for the process to take 6-8 weeks from start to finish, at minimum. The First Step is scheduling an in-person consultation. Consultations are $200, and typically last 1-2 hours. We will go over your project goals, some ideas on the layout, and I will measure your site as well. Please etransfer your consultation fee once booked, or the day before your consult. A reminder will be sent via email.

After your consultation, I will prepare a design quote, payment schedule, and contract that will be sent to you within 24-48 hours of the initial consult. Once your contract is signed and returned, and a 50% deposit is made, your design will be added to the que.
Draft 1 will be emailed to you along with some date options for a Zoom meeting to go over the drawing together and answer any questions. This draft has a more general layout than future drafts; some measurements will be shown and plant suggestions will be provided. |

After receiving Draft 2, further changes can be discussed over email, phone call, or another Zoom meeting. After receiving your second draft, you have one more draft included within your design fee. Further revisions will require additional payment according to the work required.
Typically once Draft 3 is completed (if no other changes are needed), you will have a complete Design Package that can be given to your chosen landscape contractor(s) to help you get quotes on your project. The remaining 50% of your design fee is due before the Design Package is released by PDF format. A Design Package includes:
- Existing Conditions (including existing grades)
- Design/Planting Plan
- Plant Order List
- Design Measurements and Materials List
Hardcopies (printed format) can be requested for an additional fee of $200. This includes two sets of printed drawings, one set that is laminated for the contractor who installs the project, and shipping of the drawings to your home.
